Row the Boat in Chicago with your fellow Gopher alumni and friends as the Gophers take on the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday, October 30th at 2:30 pm. We won't just have one, but two 'Sota Socials! 

On Friday, October 29th, the Alumni Association and its Chicago Alumni Network will be hosting a 'Sota Social at the Other Side Bar, the official Chicago Gopher bar. This will be a spooky Friday evening 'Sota Social in Chicago starting at 5:30 pm!

On game day, Saturday the 30th, gather with alumni and fans again for an exciting pregame 'Sota Social at Five & Dime in Evanston. Starting at 12:00 pm, we will get the maroon and gold spirit going before heading to the game just minutes away. Parking garage with free shuttle to the game is available just a block away from Five & Dime. 

Additional details for both events include:

• Casual maroon and gold gatherings
• Fun, free giveaways
• Food and drink available to purchase on your own
• No RSVP or reservation is required, but we recommend folks arrive early 

Masks are required. The UMAA and its alumni networks follow guidance from the University, local health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding COVID-19 safety protocols. The city of Chicago and Evanston have mask mandates in place and you are required to wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
