University of Minnesota Alumni are invited to join Ambassador and Mrs. Huntsman for a concert at Spaso House featuring renowned pianist Daniel Pollack. Pollack first gained the music world’s attention when he became a prize-winner in the International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow. He subsequently performed concerts throughout the former Soviet Union. Career highlights include appearances as a soloist with conductor Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Orchestra during the White Nights Festival in St. Petersburg, with London’s Royal Philharmonic, and with the Moscow State Philharmonic. He has performed in the United States as a soloist with the philharmonics of New York, Los Angeles, Baltimore, San Francisco, and Minnesota.
There will be a reception/networking opportunity with light hors d’oeuvres and beer/wine from 7pm to around 7:45. The concert begins around 7:50 and will last approximately an hour.
