Cancer 101

For its 34th session, Mini Medical School continues its mission to explore how researchers and clinicians in the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center (AHC) are advancing what we know about health - from the common to the most complex questions - in Minnesota and around the world.

The Spring 2016 session's focus is Breakthroughs in Cancer Research, Detection and Treatment, in this presentation Dr. Chris Pennell explains key concepts in cancer and cancer research, the importance of the Masonic Cancer Center, and the future of cancer treatment.

Chris Pennell, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. He is also a member of the Masonic Cancer Center and the Center for Immunology.
