What do we mean by the word happiness and what underlies this trend? This webinar will explore the concept of happiness and highlight philosophical and research-based insights that may be useful in our daily lives.
Dr. LeeAnn Melin is the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Student Initiatives at the University of Minnesota. She has served in a variety of leadership roles within higher education for the past 27 years. Currently, she oversees central student support units on the Twin-Cities campus which relate to undergraduate advising, major and career exploration, and academic success. Her teaching and research interests include the holistic development of college students, specifically relating to meaning, purpose, and connectedness. LeeAnn earned her undergraduate degree from the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota, a Masters of Public Administration from Northern Michigan University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the U of M’s College of Education and Human Development. LeeAnn comes from a family of U of M alumni and supporters and their Gopher pride runs deep.
