Dr. Stamp earned both his B.S. (’83) and Ph.D. (’90) from the University of Minnesota on the St. Paul campus. His creative career path has included stints in corporate scientific research and leadership positions at General Mills and Pepsi’s Frito Lay Division as well as entrepreneurial start-ups and academic educator.
Having lead seven successful entrepreneurial start-ups, he also served as a Chief Trained Brain and V.P. of Technology for the widely recognized Eureka! Ranch, a leading product and service creativity think-tank. His Eureka Ranch team was awarded the "George Land World-Class Innovator Award" from the Innovation Network and Fast Company magazine.
Dr. Stamp has been an assistant professor and endowed chair of entrepreneurship at the University of North Dakota and has been awarded numerous teaching awards for his unique teaching methods in experiential learning. His research focuses on understanding what happens at the cognitive interface between that moment of insight and inspiration and the decision to take action on your ideas.
His work has appeared in publications such as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice as well as the Oxford Handbook of Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship and the Annals of Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy.
